Aoi Nanase Work
It seems that Aoi Nanase has come up with a new manga being serialised in the E2 magazine. Maybe it's not really new. But here's the scan. Beware: if you click it, it is 14MB PNG (4020 x 5333).

Yes, if you checked out the links, there is a Tony Taka illustration as well. Have scanned, but need to play around with it a bit.
Standard scanning procedure:
1) Scan both ends of the poster (too big to scan in one go) in CanoScan D646U ex scanner 400 dpi scan without filters. Use a black card behind the poster to prevent "seep-through".
2) In Photoshop filter with Neat Image noise reduction.
3) Smart blur.
4) Save as BMP
5) In Panavue ImageAssembler, open the BMP's and allow it to automatically stitch.
6) Save result as BMP
7) In Photoshop, open up the BMP and take out the foldline of the poster using smudge.
8) Save.
9) In IrfanView, open the BMP then save it with the PNGOUT plugin using multiple passes. Wait. Finished.
Comparison of file sizes:
Scans (after filtering) 52.2MB, 52.3MB.
Stitched 62.1MB
Enhanced: 81.7MB
PNG: 14.0MB

use photomerge and save it in .png in CS the difference between the .png in irfranview and CS is negligible

I think I use Irfranview because of the easy batch conversion, and also because PNGOUT plugin is pretty much the best out there. When you work with a lot of big files, those few percents make a big difference.
